Evolve Breath & Body Revive Retreat Cornwall- Yoga, meditation, breathwork, nature immersion

THE REVIVE  RETREAT

The Revive Retreat will take place this spring in the stunning surroundings of St.Nectans Glen in Cornwall. A natural paradise set amongst a temperate rainforest and a beautiful waterfall. A place shrouded in mysticism and lore which attracts spiritual seekers from around the globe. Considered to be one of the UK’s most sacred sites. St Nectan’s Glen is a spiritual haven, hidden in a magical location within earshot of a 40-foot waterfall. The Glen is known for its healing powers and spirituality. The perfect place to revive and reconnect with body, mind and spirit.

The past 2 years have brought varying degrees of emotional, psychological and physical stress to each of us. Along with uncertainty, restlessness, existential exhaustion and fear. Now, more than ever, it is essential to find ways to rest and regulate the nervous system and deepen our relationship with self, earth and others. Through the cultivation of inner peace, we can begin to find outer clarity, setting intentions for a brighter future.

BREATHWORK

Throughout the week you will rediscover connection with your own body, through felt sense, embodiment and breathing practices, and conscious connected breathwork. You will explore your own nervous system, releasing some of the tension which may be held there, meeting it with presence and awareness. These sessions will be an opportunity to integrate any trauma which may be held in your body. You will learn self regulation techniques to support your own nervous system in times of stress or anxiety.

NATURE IMMERSION

To commune with nature is an essential part of our wellbeing. Nature often brings a new perspective and can act as an incredible resource and ally in times of confusion and uncertainty. Throughout the week you will be guided on nature connection walks where you will connect with trees, plants and the elements in the surrounding ancient woodland and temperate rainforest. You will also have access to the magical and enchanting waterfall throughout your stay.

YOGA

There will be daily yoga classes which will support a gentle opening of the body, melting tension and preparing the body for the conscious connected breathwork sessions.

MEDITATION

Daily group meditation classes, combining stillness and movement, breath and awareness. Through exploring a variety of meditation techniques, you can find something which works for you to take away as a regular practice.

COMMUNITY

Another essential part of our wellbeing is human connection, joining as a community, to exchange conversation, dance and eat together. In community we are reminded that we are not separate, but in fact share many of the same feelings, emotions and challenges. When we come together as a group, we co-create a safe, loving and supportive space for each other to be seen and heard. With the support of the group energy field, we can consciously release tension, integrate trauma, move stagnant energy, and notice any conditional imprinting and belief systems which are causing us to feel ‘stuck’.

The intention of this retreat is to provide a safe container in which we can slow down and feel, observe and be present with all that is showing up for us physically, emotionally and energetically. Taking the time to truly be here and now, in kindness, empathy and vulnerability. Remembering the inner stillness which exists within you. Remembering the miracle of your body and the wisdom it holds. In this experiential retreat, you will return home to yourself, meeting yourself exactly as you are, whilst honouring your own rhythms and boundaries. All classes are optional, and you will have free time to relax, journal, connect and explore the beautiful surroundings. This is a small intimate retreat, so places are very limited. Applicants are asked to join a short video call with the facilitator before place is confirmed.

St Nectan’s Glen is accessed on foot, following a stream through a pristine natural landscape. Located in North Cornwall close to the towns of Tintagel and Boscastle, both steeped in the legends of King Arthur. The South West Coast Path is nearby, as are North Cornwall’s beautiful beaches. Meals are included and are healthy and vegetarian.

Throughout the retreat you will be held and supported by-

Natalie Keany - Evolve Breath & Body

Natalie merges 13 years of experience in the field of healing arts and a lifetime of personal exploration. For the past 9 years she has been working in the field of trauma integration. Sharing a culmination of embodiment, meditation, movement and breathwork practices, her work is inspired by her own personal journey of integrating the imprint of trauma and dissociation. Her work focuses on ‘listening’ to the body, finding a sense of safety within the body, and learning to acknowledge and respond to the innate wisdom which the body is always sharing.

Jane Dunford - Rewild Me

Jane Dunford trained in Yin and Yang Yoga with the Yoga Academy after witnessing its healing powers firsthand. Her classes balance a more energetic flow with the restorative properties of slower-paced yin and are suitable for yogis of all levels. Calming the chatterbox mind, coming into the body and connecting to the self and wider nature is central to her work, as is a sense of lightness and fun. Yoga sessions will be tailored to complement the breathwork practice, allowing participants to delve deeper, explore, ground and renew.

Jane will also lead nature connection sessions, encouraging us to slow down and sense into the aliveness of the natural world. The health benefits of spending time in nature is well-documented and it is her belief that our disconnection from nature is the source of many ills. By gently ‘rewilding’ ourselves we can come back to a sense of wholeness and belonging.
